Konstantin joined Village Enterprise in July 2011 as Sr. Director of Programs and Operations. Born in Barcelona Spain, he has dedicated most of his professional career to financial services and management consulting work with Booz Allen Hamilton. Konstantin has focused his professional experience in systems and operations improvement as the Director of Operations of a Bear Stearns/JP Morgan joint venture, and as an independent consultant for Developing World Markets (an investment bank dedicated to making socially positive investments in the microfinance sector). He lived in East Africa as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique from 2005-2007. He received a BS in Biology and a BS in Financial Economics from the University of Maryland and his MBA from Georgetown University.

Wilson Peru is the Country Director for Village Enterprise Kenya. Before joining us in January 2001, he spent 20 years in agriculture and rural business development in the Kakamega region. Wilson holds a BA in Community Development from Daystar University, Nairobi, Kenya.

Charles Erongot is the Country Director for Uganda. Prior to joining Village Enterprise in April 2004, he fostered agribusiness development and trained rural community groups in nursery management, tree propagation, and group dynamics while encouraging environmental conservation. He has served as a program manager for Katakwi Integrated Development Organization. Charles holds a BS degree in Forestry.

Walter Mutsotso joined Village Enterprise as a Business Mentor in 2011 and was quickly promoted to Regional Manager and then Assistant Country Director. Previously, Walter was a high school teacher. He holds an undergraduate degree in Agri-Business management and is currently pursuing an MBA in strategic management.

Winnie joined Village Enterprise in 2010 as a Volunteer Business Mentor and was promoted to Employed Business Mentor in June 2011. She was recently promoted again to Field Coordinator of the Soroti Area, working alongside Isaac Otim. Before Village Enterprise, Winnie worked at Alliance High School as an A-Level teacher and then Erimu College as an Administrator. She holds a BA in Education from Makerere University in Kampala and loves singing and reading.

Francis Khamaluli is the Field Coordinator in charge of Kakamega Region in Kenya. Prior to joining Village Enterprise in 2012, Francis was a high school teacher teaching in one of the local high schools in Kakamega. Francis has a Bachelor of Education-Science from Masinde Muliro University and is excited to be working with Village Enterprise.

Maurice grew up in Soroti, Uganda. He graduated from Uganda Christian University in Kampala with a degree in Business Computing. Before joining Village Enterprise in 2012, Maurice worked with Agricultural Development Partners (ADP) as an Accounts Assistant and later as a Field Outreach Coordinator. He then joined Africare Uganda as a Database Administrator. Maurice spends his free time on agricultural activities, tending to his chickens and pigs.

Isaac Otim joined Village Enterprise in November 2011 as Field Coordinator for Soroti, Uganda. Before joining Village Enterrpsie he worked with MTN Uganda as a Customer Service Advisor. Isaak holds a diploma in Co-operatives and Business Administration from Uganda Co-operative College.

Nicholas Businge is the Field Coordinator for the Budongo Project. Prior to joining Village Enterprise, he worked with the Masindi District NGO Forum as a team leader of Rights Based Approaches. Nicholas holds a Bachelors degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Laws from Law Development Centre – Kampala. NIcholas’ hobbies include reading inspirational writings and watching sports and games.

Nathaniel Kimutal Maiyo grew up in Nandi District, Kenya and earned his degree in Economics from Bugema University in Uganda. He first joined Village Enterprise in 2011 as a Business Mentor in Eldorest West District. Before this, he was a farmer, growing mostly maize and wheat. In his free time, Nathaniel continues to farm and enjoys reading business journals.

Fabian KhamatiI was born and raised in Kakamega, Kenya. Fabian holds a Junior Accounts Clerk Certificate in addition to his diploma in Finance and Commercial Law. He has a wide range of training in finance, management credit risk analysis, and basic computers from both local and international institutions and is currently pursuing a degree in Commerce Finance. Before joining Village Enterprise as a Business Mentor in 2012, Fabian worked for a bank in both Nairobi and Mombasa.

Selina Otima joined Village Enterprise as a Business Mentor in 2011 and was promoted after seven months to a Field Coordinator in charge of the Kisere Region in Kenya. Previously, Selina was a Sales Executive at Cooperative Insurance Company in Kenya and was a small entrepreneur, running a Beauty Shop in Kakamega. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Business Management and a Diploma in Public Relations Management.

Linnet Mutsami is our Kenyan Operations Manager. She joined Village Enterprise in October 2004 and lives in Kakamega, Village Enterprise’s Kenya headquarters. Linnet holds a certificate in Accounting. She is a praise and worship leader at her church and a leader of the Shikulu youth group.

Maureen Mudeyu is the Assistant Operations Manager for Village Enterprise Kenya. Maureen’s focus is accounting and she is currently working to become a Certified Public Accountant. Besides work, she enjoys traveling, listening to music and teaching Sunday school.

Khatuchi Khasandi holds a Bachelors of Arts Sociology and Psychology from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya. Before joining Village Enterprise in August 2011, she worked with I Choose Life –Africa in Nairobi where she trained youth on matters related to sexual and reproductive health. Besides work, she enjoys poetry, traveling and mentoring young girls.

Mike grew up in Kilingili, Kenya. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Finance from the US International University in Nairobi. After working with an MFI in Kisumu, he joined Village Enterprise in February 2012 as an intern in the Kakamega office before accepting his current position. When not at work, Mike enjoys watching movies, reading books, and rooting for Arsenal football.
