  • Konstantin joined Village Enterprise in July 2011 as Sr. Director of Programs and Operations. Born in Barcelona Spain, he has dedicated most of his professional career to financial services and management consulting work with Booz Allen Hamilton. Konstantin has focused his professional experience in systems and operations improvement as the Director of Operations of a Bear Stearns/JP Morgan joint venture, and as an independent consultant for Developing World Markets (an investment bank dedicated to making socially positive investments in the microfinance sector). He lived in East Africa as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique from 2005-2007. He received a BS in Biology and a BS in Financial Economics from the University of Maryland and his MBA from Georgetown University.

  • Wilson Peru is the Country Director for Village Enterprise Kenya. Before joining us in January 2001, he spent 20 years in agriculture and rural business development in the Kakamega region. Wilson holds a BA in Community Development from Daystar University, Nairobi, Kenya.

  • Winnie joined Village Enterprise in 2010 as a Volunteer Business Mentor and was promoted to Employed Business Mentor in June 2011. She was promoted and worked as the Field Coordinator of the Soroti Area, working alongside Isaac Otim, and has recently in 2014 assumed the position as Country Director of Uganda. Before Village Enterprise, Winnie worked at Alliance High School as an A-Level teacher and then Erimu College as an Administrator. She holds a BA in Education from Makerere University in Kampala and loves singing and reading.

  • Tadeo Muriuki grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. He attended University in the United States where he received his Bachelors and Masters degree. Tadeo worked in the US for several years before moving back to Kenya. His work experience in Kenya includes working as a Research Manager for AMPATH in Eldoret, Kenya and more recently as a Project Director with Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Western Kenya. During his free time, Tadeo spends his time with his wife and two young children.

  • Fabian Khamati was born and raised in Kakamega, Kenya. Fabian holds a Junior Accounts Clerk Certificate in addition to his diploma in Finance and Commercial Law. He has a wide range of training in finance, management credit risk analysis, and basic computers from both local and international institutions and is currently pursuing a degree in Commerce Finance. Before joining Village Enterprise as a Business Mentor in 2012, Fabian worked for a bank in both Nairobi and Mombasa.

  • Peter grew up in Arua District of Uganda. He holds a Bachelors degree in Development Studies from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. Before joining Village Enterprise in 2013, he worked for over 5 years as a Program Officer with West Nile Private in Arua/Nebbi Districts, a project funded by CARE International. Peter was responsible for promoting village savings and loans associations, training on financial literacy and entrepreneurship/business development skills, and creating linkages to financial services. He has also worked as a consultant, helping to implement farmer institutional development programs and forming and strengthening savings and credit cooperative societies. In his free time, Peter likes to listen to music, watch news and Manchester United football.

  • Ellen Metzger joined Village Enterprise in 2010. Since joining, she’s worked as an intern, Operations Supervisor in the US office and S.M.A.R.T fellow in East Africa. She is deeply interested in international and economic development as well as Small and Medium Enterprise Development in Africa. Her passion for Africa stemmed from an internship in Ghana and has blossomed while working for Village Enterprise. She holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from Santa Clara University. She enjoys the outdoors, coaching lacrosse and experiencing new cultures.

  • Maurice grew up in Soroti, Uganda. He graduated from Uganda Christian University in Kampala with a degree in Business Computing. Before joining Village Enterprise in 2012, Maurice worked with Agricultural Development Partners (ADP) as an Accounts Assistant and later as a Field Outreach Coordinator. He then joined Africare Uganda as a Database Administrator. Maurice spends his free time on agricultural activities, tending to his chickens and pigs.

  • Isaac Otim joined Village Enterprise in November 2011 as Field Coordinator for Soroti, Uganda. Before joining Village Enterrpsie he worked with MTN Uganda as a Customer Service Advisor. Isaak holds a diploma in Co-operatives and Business Administration from Uganda Co-operative College.

  • Nathaniel Kimutal Maiyo grew up in Nandi District, Kenya and earned his degree in Economics from Bugema University in Uganda. He first joined Village Enterprise in 2011 as a Business Mentor in Eldorest West District. Before this, he was a farmer, growing mostly maize and wheat. In his free time, Nathaniel continues to farm and enjoys reading business journals.

  • Linnet Ayuma is our Finance and Administration Manager for Kenya. As Finance and Administration Manager, Linnet oversees and controls operations and finance management across all field offices. She joined Village Enterprise in October 2004 as Operations Manager and lives in Kakamega, Village Enterprise’s Kenya headquarters. Linnet holds a certificate in Accounting. She is a praise and worship leader at her church and a leader of the Shikulu youth group.

  • Mike grew up in Kilingili, Kenya. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Finance from the US International University in Nairobi. After working with an MFI in Kisumu, he joined Village Enterprise in February 2012 as an intern in the Kakamega office before accepting his current position. When not at work, Mike enjoys watching movies, reading books, and rooting for Arsenal football.

Previously she worked with Havilla Consultant Company LTD in Kampala as a data collector. Macrine joined Village Enterprise as an intern in January 2013. Outside of work, Macrine enjoys reading novels and watching movies.

He is currently enrolled in the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA (U)) course. Before Joining Village Enterprise, he worked with FreshCuts Ltd. as an Accounts Officer for 2 years. In his free time he likes to do his own research and play soccer.

  • Melvin Shisanya grew up in Kakamega County, Kenya and graduated with a degree in Technology: Telecommunications & Information Engineering from Technical University of Mombasa. Before joining Village Enterprise, Melvin worked as a technician with Solutions Generale in Kigali, Rwanda and was an intern with Chandaria Industries Limited in Nairobi, Kenya. Melvin spends his free time developing websites and programs, reading novels, listening to music and watching movies.

  • Collines grew up in Jinja, Uganda and received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Management: Finance and Accounting. He is currently pursuing his professional certificate for Certified Public Accountants (CPA-Uganda). In his prior work he was Accounts Assistant for Inachee Consulting Ltd. He is deeply interested in youth empowerment projects and does hiking and camping in his free time.

She previously worked as a Field Officer with Child Fund and as an Intern at Kenya Sugar Research Foundation (KESREF) and Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) in Nairobi. During her free time, Ruth enjoys imparting and sharing her knowledge, learning new ideas, sightseeing, and swimming.

  • Mike Muchesia grew up in Kakamega District-Kenya and graduated from Makhokho High School. Before joining Village Enterprise in 2011 July, he worked with the Ministry of Public Health as a community health Worker, Vestergaad Fransen as a Life Straw field educator on water purification, and with the Ministry of Gender and Sports collecting data on orphan and vulnerable children. During his free time he regularly visits the needy and shares life experiences. His hobbies include making friends, listening to music, and playing and watching football.
