Feben Tamrat

Country Director, Ethiopia

Feben Tamrat is a development professional with a wealth of experience and strong passion for advancing economic empowerment and inclusive growth across Africa. Her work spans a wide range of sectors, including women and youth inclusion and empowerment, trade, private sector development, education, and migration.

Over the years, she has held leadership roles serving as Country Representative and Senior Program Manager for International development organizations. She has worked for CIPE, Project-E, GIZ-AU, IFES and other non-profit organizations in East Africa where she has led the design and delivery of high impact development programs and managed country portfolios.

Feben holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Oxford Brookes University, where her studies deepened her commitment to fostering inclusive participation and driving sustainable change, especially for underrepresented and vulnerable communities.
