Jean Pierre Sibomana

Country Director, Rwanda

Jean Pierre is a seasoned, impact-driven development leader with more than 13 years of experience designing and delivering high-impact programs across Rwanda and Eastern Africa. In his role as Country Director, he provides strategic leadership to enhance program effectiveness, drive organizational growth, and strengthen national-level stakeholder engagement.

Previously, as Project Director for the multi-donor–funded Scaling Sustainable Poverty Graduation Project, Jean Pierre combined strategic planning, donor-compliant execution, and results-oriented leadership to deliver measurable and sustainable impact.

Jean Pierre is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), as well as a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Business Studies with Education. Prior to joining Village Enterprise, he spent 10 years in progressively senior leadership roles at YWCA Rwanda, culminating in his position as Deputy Chief of Party for the $12.5 million USAID-funded Igire–Wiyubake Program.
