Melissa Tomlinson

Director of Philanthropy

Melissa Tomlinson has more than 15 years of fundraising experience with animal conservation and environmental organizations, including 14 years supporting programs in Africa. Most recently, she was Head of Development at Born Free USA, a wildlife conservation organization with programs in the United States, Canada, and West Africa. She has also held senior positions at the International Fund for Animal Welfare and the Woodwell Climate Research Center. She has an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and BA in English and Political Science from Wellesley College. She joined the Village Enterprise team in 2022 as the Director of Philanthropy and is looking forward to managing the organization’s individual fundraising and philanthropy efforts.
